Retzer Nature Center's Spring Sale Pre-Orders Are Live!

(WAUKESHA, WI) – Retzer Nature Center’s annual Spring Sale pre-order of compost bins, rain barrels and native plants is going on now through April 5. The pre-order guarantees sale prices and availability of merchandise. Order online at waukeshacounty.gov/springsale. Pre-orders will be available for pick up during Retzer Nature Center’s Spring Sale & Workshop event on April 29.

 

Items Available During the Pre-Order Sale

  • Home compost bin for $50 (normally $60)

  • Rain barrel with diverter kit - $60 (normally $84), tandem set - $100 (normally $121)

  • 50 varieties of individual native plants - $2.50 each (will be $4.25 day of Workshop Event)

  • Collections available for $65 (will not be available for purchase day of Workshop Event)

    • Rain Garden Native Plant Collection - four plants of eight different species

    • Native Prairie Garden Plant Collection - four plants of eight different species

    • Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden Collection - four plants of eight different species


About the Spring Sale and Workshop Event

Waukesha County Department of Parks and Land Use will hold its annual Spring Sale & Workshop Event on April 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Retzer Nature Center, (S14 W28167 Madison Street, Waukesha). Attendees can pick up their items purchased during the pre-order, as well as purchase limited quantities of other items that day. Free workshops will be held about home composting, native plant landscaping, rain gardens and rain barrels. A native wildflower walk will also take place.
