Although furniture and mattresses are not banned from Wisconsin landfills, they are bulky items that in many cases can easily be reused. You can donate items to your local reuse store (ReStore, Goodwill, etc.), try to sell them at a garage sale or online market such as Craigslist.org, or give them away to friends or through Freecycle.org.
