Project ReDirectory Event set for 9/19/09

APPLETON WIS.—The Paper Discovery Center is offering visitors an opportunity to learn why recycling is important through fun activities, presentations, and displays along with free admission on September 19 to those who bring an outdated telephone directory.

Project ReDirectory, sponsored by AT&T Real Yellow Pages, Recycle MORE Wisconsin, the Outagamie Department of Solid Waste, and the Paper Discovery Center is being held at the Paper Discovery Center from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

In addition to free admission, those bringing in outdated directories will receive a free Project ReDirectory T-shirt and other prizes while supplies last.

A large banner indicating “Recycle Old Phone Books Here!” will make it easy for visitors to know where to drop off their outdated directories. Once the books are in the containers, the fun begins. Visitors use old phone book paper to create fun art projects, and make a sheet of their very own recycled paper. At the same time, they’ll learn why recycling is important to Outagamie County.

The Paper Discovery Center is located at:
425 W. Water Street
Appleton, WI 54911
