Recycle More Wisconsin is a campaign of the Wisconsin Be SMART Coalition (Save Money and Reduce Trash). The Be SMART Coalition is an award-winning partnership of local municipalities, state agencies, non-profit and environmental organizations, businesses, and schools dedicated to reducing waste, increasing recycling, and conserving resources in Wisconsin.

The Coalition currently has 34 municipal members who are responsible for ensuring recycling compliance in their communities. The Coalition serves as a unique regional collaboration to support local program implementation. It has successfully implemented projects that benefit both members and non-members, such as a coordinated computer recycling contract used by over 22 local governments and schools last year, development of an online toolkit for local event and festival planners, and partnerships with newspapers to publish annual special environmental sections for Earth Day. Coalition members represent 1.3 million residents, or about 25% of the state’s population of 5.5 million residents.

Recycle More Wisconsin aims to bring together communities across Wisconsin to prevent valuable recyclables from going to waste in our landfills. To achieve this goal we are providing education on the benefits of recycling and the opportunities to recycle at home, work, school, and all public places.
