Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) Announces Support from Carton Council

Stevens Point (WI) – September 9, 2011 The Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin announced today that it has received a major sponsorship from Carton Council of North America to promote increased recycling in Wisconsin. The sponsorship will allow AROW to expand its efforts in working with Wisconsin communities and collection service providers to maximize recycling education and outreach through AROW’s Recycle More Wisconsin campaign and website

“The Carton Council is happy to be a supporter of this initiative as it aligns with our mission to promote and expand carton recycling”, said Carla Fantoni, spokesperson for the Carton Council.

The website, which now features recycling information for nearly 1 million Wisconsin residents, will be upgraded to serve as a convenient one-stop source of comprehensive recycling information.   Research done in Wisconsin showed that residents frequently have questions about what can be recycled in their community, how to prepare materials for setout, and what happens to their recyclables.  Through the Recycle More Wisconsin website and campaign, community officials and recycling service providers will be able to post local recycling information in one easy, consistent format and be complimented with statewide information on the recycling industry.

According to AROW President Jennifer Semrau, “We are grateful to the Carton Council for this opportunity to improve our recycling outreach to communities and residents of Wisconsin. With so many local governments experiencing budget and program cuts, it is exciting to see industry step forward to support recycling education programs.”

The Carton Council is a consortium of carton manufacturers committed to increasing carton recycling in the U.S. The Council promotes both recycling technology and local collection programs, working to limit the number of cartons that become waste. For more information visit
